This is why when installing a pet friendly lawn we recommend using Envirofill® - the latest odour inhibiting premium infill system which is brushed into the top of the grass during installation to make your artificial lawn look, feel and smell great. Envirofill® is composed of naturally occurring sand found only in the Hickory Formation of central Texas. Its highly-rounded quartz core resists compression so it doesn’t continue to compact over the life of your lawn, promoting better drainage. The quartz sand is then coated with Microban®. Microban® has been scientifically proven to disrupt the bacteria process that coverts pet urine into ammonia odour. This technology reduces ammonia odour from urine by up to 99%. The Microban® antimicrobial protection is infused into Envirofill® during the manufacturing process to help prevent the growth of bacteria, mould, and mildew that can cause stains, odours, and product deterioration. Envirofill® also helps to keep your artificial grass cooler during very hot weather to ensure that your pets are comfortable lounging on the lawn.
